I designed this marketing campaign for Western Washington University's Viking Union Halloween activities. I created fun and unique assets that could be repurposed for banners, stickers and posters.
The forest landscape was inspired by the woods that surround our campus. I wanted to create something that felt familiar with a creepy twist. Having noticed a trend of cute frog apparel and decor on campus, I thought the frogs would be an attention grabbing addition to bring the scene to life.
Inspiration for this design included the whimsy of Tim Burton landscapes, such as the garden in Coraline, Halloween cartoons like as Charlie Brown, and the classic frog characters Frog and Toad. I created some rough sketches on my iPad before refining the landscape and frogs in Illustrator.
